Due to safety concerns during the COVID-19 public health emergency, we are pleased and relieved to announce that we are now able to offer TeleHealth virtual office visits to patients whose concerns can be met remotely. Examples would include routine follow-up visits, acne, psoriasis care, poison ivy exposure and wound checks. We will be scheduling TeleHealth appointments daily. Our staff will further discuss with you the appropriateness of a remote visit when scheduling the appointment. TeleHealth appointments are currently covered by Medicare, Medicaid and the majority of major commercial health insurers (Deductibles will still apply.)
Your virtual office visit will be conducted via the PocketPatient portal or FaceTime on any computer or mobile device that had audio and video capabilities.
How It Works
Step 1: Request a Telehealth Visit
Call us at 812-401-9030 to schedule a TeleHealth appointment.
Step 2: Receive Telehealth Visit Confirmation
You will receive a link via email from “Telemedicine Service” that confirms your TeleHealth visit with Dermatology Associates of Indy.
Step 3: Download PocketPatient
Download the “PocketPatient” app on your smartphone or tablet before your visit. You will receive an email with a link to the app store for the download. If you have an iPhone please inform the staff and the video call can be completed over FaceTime.
Step 4: Attend Your Telehealth Visit
Follow the instructions provided in the email for your virtual visit on the scheduled date and time.
